Yoga for Beginners Technique (YFBT): In these classes, you will learn how to breathe as well as the details of the poses and how to perform them properly. We use props in YFBT to have the pose fit your body, not vice versa. This is very important, especially if you have special needs or injuries. Your instructor will offer both verbal and physical adjustments to help you experience the best pose possible for each student. We cover anatomy and kinesiology (movement) to make you more aware of your body and safe, comfortable ways of moving in and out of the poses. If you are new to yoga or have limited experience, this is the best place to begin your yoga practice. It is different for everyone, but most people stay in Yoga for Beginners for at least 6 months.
